Cessation of WeChat Pay Malaysia’s e-Wallet Service

Please log in to your WeChat account, tap "Me - Pay and Services - Balance - Withdraw" and follow the instructions to complete the withdrawal of balance as soon as possible.

*Please be rest assured that WeChat’s existing messaging service and other functions such as Weixin Pay available on the platform remain unimpacted and operate as usual. Weixin Pay continues to enable Malaysians’ easy payments while traveling in China, as well as Chinese tourists’ inbound payments in Malaysia.

Balance Withdrawal Guide

If you have not completed your identity verification:

  • Please complete your identity verification before proceeding with the balance withdrawal. This step verifies that you are the authorized person for the withdrawal.
  • Tap "Me - Pay and Services - three dots on the top right corner - Payment Management - Identity Verification”.

If you have already completed your identity verification:

  • Tap "Me - Pay and Services - Balance - Withdraw".
  • Add a bank account for withdrawal by providing bank account info.
  • After successfully adding the bank account, you will be prompted to verify your mobile number.
  • Upon successful verification, the withdrawal request will be submitted. It normally takes 3 business days for the withdrawal to go through.
