Cessation of WeChat Pay Malaysia’s e-Wallet Service
Starting from September 1, we will cease our payment services due to our business strategy adjustment, therefore the payment service agreement between you and WeChat Pay Malaysia will be terminated and your business will no longer be able to accept e-wallet payments from WeChat Pay Malaysia. Balance before this date will be settled to your bank account as normal.
We have ceased our payment services due to our business strategy adjustment from September 1, 2024. The WeChat Wallet Service Agreement between you and us is therefore terminated on September 1, 2024 and your business will no longer be able to accept e-wallet payments from us. The termination of the WeChat Wallet Service Agreement shall not prejudice both parties' rights or liabilities accrued at the termination of the WeChat Wallet Service Agreement (including the settlement payment).
Please be rest assured that WeChat’s existing messaging service and other functions such as Weixin Pay available on the platform remain unimpacted and operate as usual. Weixin Pay continues to enable Malaysians’ easy payments while traveling in China, as well as Chinese tourists’ inbound payments in Malaysia.
