What is WeChat Pay MY?

WeChat Pay MY is a payment feature integrated into WeChat. You just need to link a Malaysian debit card (Visa or Mastercard) and you can start mobile transactions quickly and securely. The WeChat Pay MY Wallet also enables social payment features such as Money Packets, which makes money transfer easier between WeChat friends. What's more, you can withdraw your Wallet Balance to your bank account at any time.

Note: There is no charge to link bank cards, make payments, top up your Balance or withdraw funds by the WeChat Pay MY Wallet. If any extra expense has been deducted from your account, please check with your bank first.

Is the WeChat Pay MY Wallet secure?

WeChat Pay MY Wallet payment services are provided by WeChat Pay Malaysia Sdn. Bhd, which is an e-money issuer duly licensed by Bank Negara Malaysia. Your bank card information and the personal information used by the WeChat Pay MY Wallet is encrypted as required by Bank Negara Malaysia. We will not disclose your account information to any third party.

Note: As per Bank Negara Malaysia's security guidelines, the WeChat Pay MY Wallet cannot be used on jail-broken or rooted mobile phones. In addition, the cumulative daily payment and withdrawal limit on an Android mobile phone is RM1,000.

Follow the WeChat Pay MY Official Account to receive updates on the latest Wallet features or information on marketing events.

To follow the Official Account, Tap "+" (in the top right corner) of WeChat, select "Add Contacts" -> "Official Accounts", and enter "WeChat Pay MY" to search for and follow our Official Account.

Bank cards supported by the WeChat Pay MY Wallet

All Visa and Mastercard debit cards issued by local banks in Malaysia can be added (linked) to your WeChat Pay MY Wallet.

Where can WeChat Pay MY Wallet be used? Which methods of payment are supported?

You can use WeChat Pay MY to make payments to online merchants on WeChat Pay MY wallet or offline outlets that accept WeChat Pay MY. The details are as follows:

1.Paying an online merchant on WeChat Pay MY wallet: You can use your Wallet Balance or a Malaysian Visa/Mastercard bank card to make a payment when you visit a merchant's official account on WeChat.

2.Quick Pay (with a payment code): Show your payment code to the merchant ("Me" -> "Wallet" -> "Quick Pay") and the merchant scans the code with a scanner to complete the payment. At present, Quick Pay only supports payments with your Wallet Balance.
